Realizou-se esta madrugada (hora de Lisboa) a 68.ª edição dos Prémios Emmy. As estatuetas foram entregues pela Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Diretamente do Microsoft Theater, em Los Angeles, nos Estados Unidos, coube a Jimmy Kimmel as honras da apresentação de uma cerimónia que teve transmissão em direto para Portugal pela SIC Caras.
